Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh on Monday alleged that a video shared by the PTI’s Karachi chapter on Twitter showed the way the Sindh government “through 50-60 criminals, prisoners, goons got me attacked”.
Speaking about the incident where reportedly a snake was found in Adil’s police cell, the PTI MPA said that Prime minister Imran Khan has been informed about the situation.
He went on to add: “The rulers of Sindh have become selfish. A snake was found in the opposition leader’s cell, whereas, goons tortured the PTI lawmaker in jail.”
On Sunday night, the PTI leader had been shifted to a local hospital after he complained of pain in his chest, less than a week after he was arrested for allegedly entering a polling station while armed and engaging in the aerial firing.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed concern over the health of the ruling PTI’s leader in Sindh, Haleem Adil Sheikh, a spokesperson for the Governor House said in a statement issued Monday.
According to the spokesperson, PM Imran Khan had a telephonic conversation with Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, wherein he expressed concern over Haleem Adil Sheikh’s health. The PTI leader was last night moved to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) after he complained of chest pain.
According to the details, PTI has decided to hold protest demonstrations across the province against the PPP-led Sindh government. The decision was taken during a meeting of PTI’s lawmakers hailing from Karachi today.
